Kaila and Jago

Hello Everyone!

We hope you are enjoying your weekend so far!  Today, we would like to show you something different.  If you have been following our blog, you know our work consists of necklaces, bracelets, and occasionally earrings.  CC was on her FB account when she came across Lady Dee's cute puppy Kaila and sparked an idea.  You guessed it right, DOG COLLARS!  CC drew up some sketches and came up with a little something for the pup.  There are two dog collars.  One for  Lady Dee's dog, Kaila and the other one for Lucy's dog, Jago.  Sorry Jago!  CC didn't know you are a boy until Lucy later revealed.  Haha!!  Let's take a closer look, shall we?

Candy Land Collection ~ Gum Balls

Happy Friday Everyone!

We made it!  We made it!  TGIF!!!  To start your weekend off, we would like to introduce to y'all some gum balls... sorry, we meant, bracelets.  The reason we kept thinking about gum balls is not because we are craving for sweets but because our latest creations looks sweet just like them!  Let's take a look.

The "Candy Land" Collection:

The "I Love Pink Gum Ball" Bracelet:

I know some of you are already thinking "Hmmm, this sure resembles bracelets made by a high-end...".  Hold on!  There is nothing T-blue here!  Ok, now, let's get our mind back to this one, shall we?  The "I Love Pink Gum Ball" Bracelet is made of Swarovski pearls (new colour: pink coral) and a 925 sterling silver heart strung together by an elastic band.  Doesn't it look so juicy and cute??  We thought that this will be perfect to wear in the spring/summer because it is so fresh!!!

The "Marbled Love" Bracelet:

This baby is made up of natural white jasper gemstones and a mini sterling silver heart charm.  And of course, it resembles the "I Love Pink Gum Ball" Bracelet!  You can even wear them as stack bracelets... sooo cute!

See the size difference between the pearls/stones and the hearts?  We thought we put them together so you folks will get a better idea of how they look when worn together.

The "Classic Bow Tie" Bracelet:

Ooooooh!  Due to the popularity of bow ties and everything princess-y, we've decided to create yet another piece with the bow tie.  The "Classic Bow Tie" Bracelet is made of black onyx with a sterling silver bow tie.  We chose black onyx because this stone is said to possess healing properties to increase happiness and to change bad habits for the wearer.  Hey, everyone will appreciate some change, right?!  Plus, it will increase your happiness, which means you will be more youthful and rejuvenated!  Triple plus here! haha

Donuts for Breakfast

Good Morning Everyone,

It's Thursday.... then it'll be Friday... hang in there - the weekend is near!!!  Today, we would like to share with y'all some donuts!  That's right, d-o-n-u-t-s!  We thought that it will be interesting to see how y'all will react to these since these pendants are made from both fimo clay and Swarovski crystals.  You may ask how... very easy!  Think back at the time when you played with Play-Doh (those colourful plastic in which you can shape and stick together to make a house... or a dog... or a flower...).  Same concept with fimo, just shape, quickly stick the crystals on, and let it set... it's that simple.  These were our first and second attempts and they turned out quite well.  Let's take a look.

Drop! Drop! Drop!

Hello Everyone,

Something to share with y'all as always and it is our Drop! Drop! Drop! Collection.  These pieces were made by CQ's mommy, Lisa!  As the title suggested, every piece has a "drop" to it. Haha!  Let's take a closer look.

The "Drop Everything" Bracelet:

Crystals, gems, and sterling silver charms were used to create this masterpiece.  Isn't it cute?

The "Droplets" Earrings:

As you can see, it resembles rain droplets.  With its sterling silver finish, it adds a vintage look to your outfit.

Another stunning piece and goes extremely with, well, every outfit.  It can be worn with your LBD for a night out in town or with your casual tee and jeans for a fun weekend look.  The mini sterling silver tags adds just the right reflective touch with the pearls.  Isn't it pretty?

We know, we know, no crystal in the last piece.  But hey!  We still wanna share because it is soooo beautiful!

The title of this post probably caught your attention.  But don't worry, we are not going anywhere.  Haha!  We chose this title because we want to share with you some tips on how to take care of your jewellery.  Whether it is costume, sterling silver or gold, giving them special attention will definitely help keep the luster and extend the beauty.  Furthermore, you wouldn't want to pass tarnished goodies to your grandchildren, would you?

You may wonder what to do with crystals and gemstones as well.  We will cover that in another post, so remember to check back.

Tips for taking care of your jewellery

Costume, sterling silver, and gold jewellery are must-have accessories in everyone's closet.  Most of us match them with our glamourous outfits and/or to accessorize the most casual tees.  However, some of you may claim that your jewellery do not last as the colour often changes.  Boys and girls, let us tell you that it doesn't take a lot of effort to keep them looking new!  Here are some tips to help you.

The NO-NO List:

1. DO NOT spray perfumes, body sprays, hairsprays or apply your body butters, hand cream or make up BEFORE you put on your jewellery.  These will dull or discolour the jewellery.
2. When you do a lot of washing or housework (HIGH FIVE), please remember to take them off before you start scrubbing.
3. Always store your jewellery in separate compartments of a container when you have more than one piece.  You can find great ones at the dollar store.  Head over to the hardware aisle and look for the clear plastic containers with dividers for nuts and bolts storage.  They are durable and usually have a snap-close cover which is good to prevent oxidization of your precious metals (tarnished pieces are sooo uncool).  Another advantage is the clear cover will let you to see all your jewellery in one glance.  You don't have to fumble and rumble to figure out which piece will go with that LBD (saves you some time to spray that sexy perfume...).
4. DO NOT, we repeat, DO NOT store jewellery of different metals together as they tend to oxidize at a much quicker rate or worse, scratch one another.
5. It is always good practice to clean jewellery with a piece of cleaning cloth before you store them away.  We know some of you are rolling your eyes by now.  But hey, making this extra teeny-tiny effort each time will ensure your metals maintain their luster and shine.
6. Refer back to point #3 - If you do not have a dollar store close to your vicinity or lack storage space at home (can we say hoarding?? LOL), you may consider storing your jewellery in mini zip lock bags or organza bags.  This will ensure that oxidization and tangling will be kept to minimal.

A Mix of Everything

Hello Everyone!

OMG!  This week is crazy so far - CAN'T WAIT FOR THE WEEKEND!  But no worries. We are dedicated folks so we will continue to photograph, draft, edit, and SHOW OFF!!! haha!

This post is all about pendants.  Nothing fancy, we just created simple pendants on a ball chain.  In CC's opinion, simplicity is always the key to life.  I hope these will be great accents for your outfits.  Let's take a look...

It looks like a piece of peach, a chunk of juicy gummy peach.  But that's lame.  Perhaps Juicy Bite sounds a bit better? We don't know, we are running out of names again! lol
